Artist’s Statement:

I had the great fortune of having two grandfather’s to learn from. My Zeide was an amateur photographer who traveled to all 7 continents with his wife. I have boxes upon boxes of his negatives in my old bedroom closet. I always imagined what he’d tell me about each frame, and so I thought about a relationship where a grandparent teaches lessons and tells stories through photographs.
